Burbidge, Burbidge, Fowler and Hoyle in July 1971 with the steam train presented to Fowler at the conference on massive objects organized in honor of his 60th birthday. This is 14 years after publication of their famous paper in Reviews of Modern Physics. The steam train was purchased by Donald Clayton for 135 pounds at Jones Antiques, Portobello Road, London, on July 9 and presented to Fowler on this day of the banquet for the conference, July 20, 1971. The funds for the purchase (not small in 1971) were contributed by "friends of Willy Fowler".
